Alan Kirschner started his career in 1979 as a chemical engineer in AECI, then a major South African chemical company, before moving to ICI, UK, on a two year secondment. On his return to South Africa, he held a number of line positions in project management, production, and marketing in AECI between 1983 and 1994.

In 1994, he joined Chemserve, another listed South African company, as Managing Director of Chemserve subsidiaries Chemserve Polymer Sciences and Dussek Campbell.

Alan founded Customer Diagnostics in 1999. As MD of the company, he is described as being highly focused and passionate about improving the profitability of his customers.

Alan is also a programme facilitator at Business Presentation Skills (Pty) Ltd.
